H.E. Ambassador Dr. Paul Beresford-Hill, on September 6th, presented the Cross of the Grand Officer “Pro Merito Melitensi” of the Sovereign Order of Malta to H.E. Ambassador Michal Mlynár, the Permanent Representative of Slovakia to the United Nations. The presentation, which was held at the Slovakian Residence, preceded a reception celebrating Slovakian Constitution Day and was attended by over 60 ambassadors and a large gathering of representatives of UN agencies and members of the Slovakian and international community in New York. In his address Ambassador Beresford-Hill noted the unique service and support that Ambassador Mlynár had provided in supporting the work and mission of the Order’s international outreach and commended him for his humanitarian principles and his commitment to global peace and security.
