”Torture and other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment” is the topic that our delegate Ms. Federica Ostoni discussed at the 2022 UN Third Committee Conference on Friday 14th October, 2022.
Ms. Ostoni intervened on the work of the Special Rapporteur Dr. Alice Jill Edwards, the first woman UN Special Rapporteur on the topic.
”…the prevalence of torture seems to walk arm in arm with human trafficking” stated Ms. Ostoni, reminding the crucial Protocol recently submitted by the Sovereign Order of Malta.
