Counsellor Marissa del Rosario-Blackett and Attache Ravi Tripptrap attended a panel discussion at the United Nations in New York hosted by Citibank, Bloomberg Philanthropies and the Foundation for the Support of the United Nations. The discussion provided an update on their investment in women’s economic development initiatives. These programs have led to 12 vocational tracks across their portfolio, enrolling over half 1 million women, directly benefiting more than 2 million people. Women are central to economic growth. Effective training, trade and public – private partnership models promote the economic inclusion of women and their families. This creates opportunities for women and leads to economic independence.
