SOVEREIGN ORDER OF MALTA

The Sovereign Order of Malta is proud to champion the cause of freedom of religion or belief through the work of the Order and our worldwide relief agency, Malteser International.
In line with promoting further action through multilateral diplomacy, the Order recently participated in the 2020 Ministerial Conference to advance freedom of religion or belief. We have also joined the International Religious Freedom or Belief Alliance and participate in its Working Group on humanitarian aid. Furthermore, in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Order has been active in its support to counter efforts aimed at curtailing these fundamental rights. As the role of faith-based institutions in advancing freedom of religion or belief is paramount, we are committed to interreligious dialogue.
