Yesterday, the Permanent Observer Mission of the Order of Malta to the UN hosted a reception honoring H.E. Fra’ John Dunlap GCM, Lieutenant of the Grand Master of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta and Head of State.
Joining us in celebrating H.E. Fra’ Dunlap’s presence were Ambassadors and delegates from the United Nations, as well as other members of the Order.
In these turbulent times for our geopolitical landscape, H.E. Fra’ Dunlap highlighted that ‘the humanitarian aid and support we provide in over 120 countries is needed more than ever […] Each day new challenges and pleas reflect the anguish of a world that struggles […] which impact on our ability to achieve the levels of sustainability that are so much at the heart of the 2030 agenda and are central to the mission of the United Nations. […]’
He concluded by reaffirming the Order of Malta’s commitment to both be a voice for humanity as well as to support any colleague nation that calls on us when they are in need.
