On Thursday, 9 July the Sovereign Order of Malta’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations hosted a benefit concert in support of Malteser International’s relief efforts in Venezuela, following the devastating earthquake on 24 June.
After a reception, guests were treated to a moving programme of works performed by pianist Maximilian Khevenhüller and violinist Muriel Oberhofer. Their music offered a moment of beauty and reflection, in solidarity with those facing the crisis in Venezuela.
Thanks to the generosity of our guests we raised over 2000 dollars, which will support Malteser International’s delivery of emergency medical care, shelter, and essential supplies to Venezuelans in need.
