On 18 February 2026, H.E. Ambassador Paul Beresford-Hill, Permanent Observer of the Sovereign Order of Malta to the United Nations, met with H.E. Ambassador Ricklef Beutin of Germany for a wide-ranging discussion on humanitarian action, regional developments, and cooperation between Germany and the Sovereign Order of Malta.

The meeting provided an opportunity to reaffirm the strong and longstanding relationship between Germany and the Order of Malta, with diplomatic relations in place since 2017.
