The Summit of the Future 2023 served as a crucial preparatory ministerial meeting for the highly anticipated Summit of the Future 2024, scheduled to coincide with the September 2024 opening of the 79th session of the General Assembly. This preliminary gathering brought together esteemed global leaders to evaluate progress toward achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and to outline a decisive plan for the next decade. Emphasizing the importance of multilateralism and international cooperation in addressing 21st-century challenges, the Summit attracted participation from over 100 heads of state, government officials, private sector representatives, civil society members, and academia.
