On 22 June, 2023, Advisors Zachary N. Muñoz and Gregory Pang attended a meeting regarding ‘Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy’ at the United Nations General Assembly Hall. During the meeting, the General Assembly adopted a resolution on the eighth review of the United Nations Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy unanimously. The Assembly called on Member States to unite against terrorism and violent extremism as they hope to reaffirm the Global Strategy’s four pillars — which focus on measures to address the conditions conducive to terrorism’s spread, in order to prevent and combat it, while building up or improving upon States’ capacity to do so as means to strengthen the United Nations diplomatic system.
