On June 7th, 2023, Advisor to the Ambassador of the Sovereign Order of Malta’s Mission to the United Nations in New York, Mr. Zachary N. Muñoz, attended a meeting hosted by the United Nations Catholic Club.

This goal of the club is to “encourage friendship and spiritual growth of its members through the Roman Catholic tradition of worship, inquiry, prayer and service.”

The group of individuals met to discuss the importance of being prudent yet courageous in living out one’s faith in the secular workplace. The group chaplain, Fr. Henry Bocala of the Prelature of Opus Dei, reminded the group of Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger’s statement, prior to his papal election, that, “We are moving toward a dictatorship of relativism which does not recognize anything as for certain and which has as its highest goal one’s own ego and one’s own desires.”

Fr. Bocala encouraged the group to be vigilant against the privatization of the faith, for in this act, concessions are made with relativism, and the truth, both natural and supernatural, suffers.
