Discussions focused in particular on humanitarian action, the fight against human trafficking and modern slavery, and the promotion of the right to self-determination.<\/p>\n<p>Liechtenstein emphasised its institutional and academic engagement on self-determination, as well as its initiatives linking financial transparency, Sustainable Development Goals and the eradication of modern forms of slavery. The Sovereign Order of Malta, for its part, presented an overview of its global humanitarian and medical activities and its multilateral engagement, and expressed interest in further strengthening cooperation, including through potential joint or co-sponsored initiatives within the United Nations framework.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting took place in a constructive and forward-looking atmosphere, with both sides expressing their intention to deepen collaboration and to pursue concrete and mutually beneficial cooperation in the period ahead.
